If you uninstall the Prime Product Badges & Stickers app directly from your Shopify admin, your badges and Highlight Boxes may continue to appear on your storefront because the integration code or App Block remains in your theme.
To completely remove all Prime elements from your Shopify store, follow the steps below before uninstalling the app.
Step 1: Disable Badges/Highlights
Open the Prime Product Badges & Stickers app and:
- Turn OFF the Master Switch on the Badges/Highlights/Banners/Notes/Tables page
This immediately stops from displaying on your storefront.
Step 2: Remove the Theme Integration (Optional)
Depending on how you integrated Prime into your Shopify theme, remove one of the following:
Online Store 2.0 Themes
Remove the Prime App Block from your product template.
Manual Integration
Remove the Prime integration code that was added during the initial setup.
Note: This step is only required if you manually added the integration code.
Step 3: Delete Prime Theme Files (Optional)
If you manually integrated the app into your theme, you can remove the following snippet files from your Shopify theme:
snippets/primeb.liquidsnippets/primeh.liquid
Important: Only delete these files after removing the integration code from your theme. If the integration code is still present, deleting the snippet files may cause Liquid errors on your storefront.
Step 4: Uninstall the App
Once the above steps are completed:
- Open your Shopify Admin.
- Navigate to Apps.
- Click Apps and sales channel settings.
- Locate Prime Product Badges & Stickers.
- Click Uninstall and confirm the removal.
The app will now be removed from your Shopify store
That's it! The app is now uninstalled.
