The Pro Bulk Price Editor is designed to make bulk price changes quick and simple. Below is the step-by-step guide to creating and scheduling a bulk price update task.
Step-by-Step Guide:
Step 1: Choose Your Task Method
Open the app dashboard and click New Task to start. You can select products based on all items, specific conditions, or collections.
Step 2: Select Your Target Products
On the Create or Edit Task page, define your target product rules. You can select one or more conditions (e.g., filter by tag, collection, or vendor). Click Save & Next.
Step 3: Review the Product Count
The app will search your catalog and display the count of matching products. Click on the product count link to preview the exact list of products. Note: All variants of the matched products will be updated.
Step 4: Configure Your Pricing Rules
Choose how you want to adjust prices: apply a fixed amount change, a percentage markup or markdown, or use a custom formula. Optionally, set rounding rules for both Price and Compare Price.
Step 5: Test the Calculations
Before applying the changes, enter a test price in the Calculations box to verify that your markup and rounding rules calculate exactly as expected.
Step 6: Configure Scheduling and Rollback
Choose to run the task immediately or schedule it for a future date and time. If this is a temporary promotion, configure the automatic Rollback schedule to revert prices to their original state.
Step 7: Monitor Task Execution
Click Save to queue the task. You can monitor the task progress in real-time. The log displays the updated products with their Old Price and New Price shown side-by-side.
Important Guidelines:
- Rollback Time Limit: Task logs and rollback points are deleted after 2 months. Once deleted, automatic rollbacks are no longer possible.
- One Task at a Time: Please run or schedule only one pricing task at a time. Simultaneous tasks editing overlapping products can lead to conflicts and pricing errors.
- Update Speed: The app processes approximately 2 product updates per second. This is designed to stay within Wix API limits and includes double-checking to ensure 100% pricing accuracy.
- Avoid Multiple Tabs: Do not open or run the app in multiple browser tabs simultaneously, as it may cause synchronization issues with your product edits.
