Handling Split Fulfillment

Shipr fully supports split fulfillment. If Amazon ships a single order in multiple packages, Shipr automatically syncs each fulfillment, tracking number, and shipment status to your Shopify store.

What Is Split Fulfillment?

Split fulfillment occurs when Amazon ships one order in multiple packages. This may happen when:

  • Different products are shipped separately.
  • Multiple quantities of the same product are sent in different shipments.

Each shipment receives its own tracking number and fulfillment status.

How Shipr Handles It

Once Amazon begins shipping, Shipr automatically:

  • Creates separate fulfillments in Shopify
  • Syncs all tracking numbers
  • Updates each shipment status automatically
  • Keeps every package linked to the same Shopify order

No manual action is required.

How It Works

  1. Shopify sends the order to Amazon.
  2. Amazon ships the order (single or multiple packages).
  3. Shipr receives the shipment updates from Amazon.
  4. Shopify is automatically updated with the correct fulfillments and tracking details.

When Will Tracking Update?

Tracking information is synced after Amazon confirms each shipment.

  • Most updates appear within a few minutes.
  • In some cases, syncing may take a few hours, depending on Amazon's processing time.

Good to Know

Split fulfillment is fully supported for all Shipr fulfillment workflows. As Amazon ships additional packages, Shipr automatically syncs the latest fulfillment and tracking information to your Shopify store.
