Shipr app fulfilling orders but not updating Shopify (Troubleshooting)

If Shipr successfully creates and fulfills an order through Amazon FBA, but the Shopify order status or tracking information is not updated, the issue is usually caused by one of the following configuration settings.

1 Verify Shopify Order Processing Settings

Shipr can only update fulfillment status if Shopify is configured to not automatically fulfill orders.

Check Your Settings

  1. Open Shopify Admin.
  2. Go to Settings → Checkout.
  3. Scroll to the Order Processing section.
  4. Under After an order has been paid, select:

Do not automatically fulfill any of the order's line items

Why This Matters

If Shopify is configured to:

Automatically fulfill the order's line items

Shopify marks the order as fulfilled immediately after payment, preventing Shipr from updating the fulfillment status and tracking information.

2 Disable Shopify's Native Fulfillment by Amazon Integration

If you're using Shipr to fulfill Amazon FBA orders, Shopify's built-in Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) service should be disabled.

Why?

Keeping Shopify's native FBA integration enabled can:

  • Prevent Shipr from updating fulfillment status.
  • Prevent tracking information from syncing.
  • Cause duplicate fulfillment requests for the same order.

Resolution

Disable Shopify's built-in Fulfillment by Amazon integration before using Shipr for FBA fulfillment.

Still Need Help?

If you've verified both settings and the issue persists:

  • Check the order status in the Shipr Dashboard.
  • Confirm the order was successfully created in Amazon Seller Central.
  • Contact the Shipr Support team with the affected Shopify Order ID and Amazon Order ID for further investigation.

Tip: Most order status and tracking update issues are resolved by ensuring Shopify is configured to not automatically fulfill orders and by disabling Shopify's native Fulfillment by Amazon integration when using Shipr.
