No. Watchlyst – Price Alerts does not modify your Shopify product information.
The app does not make any changes to your product catalogue, including:
- 📝 Product title
- 📄 Product description
- 🖼️ Product images
- 💷 Product price
- 🏷️ Product variants
- 📦 Inventory
Your products remain exactly as they are in your Shopify store.
⚙️ What Does the App Update?
To provide price alert functionality, Watchlyst may update internal product metafields.
These metafields are used by the app to store and manage information required for features such as:
- 🔔 Price alert subscriptions
- 📊 App-related data and tracking
- ⚡ Price monitoring
📌 Important Notes
- 👀 Metafields are not visible to your customers and do not appear on your storefront unless your theme is specifically configured to display them.
- 🛍️ Updating these internal metafields does not affect your product pages or the shopping experience.
- 🔒 Watchlyst uses these metafields only to support its features and ensure the app functions correctly.
