Yes, Watchlyst – Price Alerts supports variant-level price alerts, allowing customers to subscribe to price drop notifications for a specific product variant rather than the entire product.
This ensures customers are notified only when the variant they're interested in reaches their desired price.
How It Works
When a product has multiple variants (such as different sizes, colours, or styles), customers can:
- Select their preferred variant on the product page.
- Click the Watch Price button.
- Enter their target price.
- Subscribe to receive a price drop notification.
Watchlyst records the selected variant and monitors its price independently.
Example
Imagine a product is available in three sizes:
- Small
- Medium
- Large
A customer selects the Small size and subscribes to a price alert.
If the price of the Small variant drops to or below the customer's target price:
- The customer receives a price drop notification.
If only the Medium or Large variants change price, no notification will be sent because the customer subscribed specifically to the Small variant.
